Why is a refill pouch more sustainable than a rigid bottle?

A refill pouch has a superior product-to-package ratio to the equivalent rigid bottle, before recycled content is counted. Pouches also ship and store flat, cutting freight emissions and warehouse space, and can contain up to 70% PCR content.
