Can cleaning and home care liquids go in a recyclable pouch?
Yes, liquid home care products run in recyclable mono-material PE spout pouches with up to 70% post-consumer recycled content, recyclable via soft-plastics (#4 LDPE) collection. The engineering matters: liquid puts all its pressure on the seams, so structures are burst-tested and spouts are moulded to hold through filling, transit and repeated use. We also verify your formulation won't react with the film before production.
Why isn't compostable packaging suitable for liquid cleaning products?
Because compostable films are designed to break down in moist conditions, they're hygroscopic, so a liquid product attacks the pack from the inside and it can begin degrading before it's used. Compostable packaging is an excellent fit for dry home care: tablets, powders and sheets up to 1kg, certified home or industrially compostable. For liquids, recyclable PCR is the honest, durable choice.
How much less plastic does a refill pouch use than a rigid bottle?
A flexible refill pouch uses less plastic than the equivalent rigid bottle, the format itself is the biggest sustainability win, before recycled content is even counted. Pouches also ship and store flat: thousands of refills fit in the space a pallet of bottles would need.
Can you make child-resistant closures for home care products?
Yes, child-resistant-style zipper closures are available on stand-up, flat-bottom, quad-seal and flat pouch formats.
What are your minimum order quantities, and do spout pouches have a mould fee?
Pouch MOQs start at 6,000 units digitally printed or 10,000 rotogravure. Spout pouches carry a one-off mould fee for the spout-to-pouch fitment, we flag it in every quote so there are no surprises.
