Tea's non-negotiables are aroma and freshness, and because its barrier demands are more forgiving than many foods, more genuinely sustainable materials are on the table. Our structures protect what's inside and give you a credible, verified sustainability story at the same time.
We engineer the materials and structures tea demands, then work with you to find the right sustainable spec for your blend, your format and the market you sell into. You see the options together: the materials, their impact data and the price per unit, all in one conversation. No hidden trade-offs and no golden ticket, just informed decisions based on evidence.
Recyclable PCR Laminate. Our most popular tea choice. Recyclable mono-material that works across your full weight range. Recyclable via #4 stream (LDPE) soft-plastics collection.
Derived from sugarcane ethanol, our bio-based recyclable laminate offers significant carbon reduction and reduced reliance on fossil fuels.
Home or industrially compostable, where composting infrastructure exists. Suitable for products up to 1kg.

No, unlike coffee, tea doesn't outgas CO₂, so it doesn't need a degassing valve. That's a key difference from coffee packaging: tea's barrier demands are more forgiving, which more sustainable material options are on the table without engineering around a valve.
Loose leaf tea requires medium-to-high barrier, it's in direct contact with the packaging and has a typical shelf life of 18–24 months. Tea bags in an outer pouch need less, the tea bag provides primary protection, and the outer pouch addresses moisture and light. Confirm your product type with us before we spec a material.
Yes, given the lower barrier requirements of tea packaging compared to coffee, compostable packaging can be a good fit. Home compostable (PBS-based) and industrially compostable (PLA-based) laminates are both available, certified by TÜV, BPI or ABA, including certified compostable zippers, so the whole pouch composts, not just the film.
All tea pouches are custom-dimensioned to your blends and formats, from single-serve sachets and samplers to retail stand-up and flat-bottom pouches and wholesale side gusset bags. Minimums start at 6,000 units digitally printed or 10,000 units rotogravure.
Production runs 35–45 days from artwork approval, with delivered lead times of 6–10 weeks depending on market and freight. Warehousing agreements hold finished stock onshore for drawdown in as little as 72 hours, useful for tea brands running large multi-SKU ranges where lean packaging inventory matters.

Barrier-matched, sustainability-certified and built for premium tea brands.
