What's the most sustainable option for apparel mailers and garment bags?
For apparel, 100% post-consumer recycled poly is usually the most sustainable choice: it's the lowest-carbon option, it's recyclable through soft-plastics collection, and because garment packaging has no food-contact requirement it can run the maximum recycled content available. GRS transaction certificates verify the claim on every order. Certified home compostable and FSC paper alternatives are available where your market or brand positioning calls for them.
Can I get garment bags and mailers with recycled content?
Yes. Garment bags, poly bags and mailers are all available in up to 100% post-consumer recycled LDPE, GRS certified at transaction level. That covers your whole packaging chain: many fashion brands fix their outbound mailers but leave inbound supplier polybags in virgin plastic. We supply both, including supplier drawdown programmes where your garment factories order certified bags directly through one portal.
What's the difference between a poly bag, a garment bag and a mailer?
A poly bag is a lightweight single-layer bag (20-40 microns) used to protect individual garments through the supply chain. A garment bag is a poly bag specified for apparel: sized to the folded garment, with resealable or permanent adhesive closures. A mailer is a heavier bag (60-micron baseline) engineered to survive the courier network as outer transit packaging. Garment bags protect the piece; mailers carry the brand to the doorstep.
Do your apparel bags include suffocation-warning perforations?
Yes. Poly bags and garment bags can be produced with printed suffocation warnings in the required languages and sizes, plus ventilation perforation holes, to meet US state requirements and major retailer compliance standards. We confirm the exact warning specification for each market you sell into during artwork setup.
