What's the most sustainable mailer option for eCommerce?
There's no single most sustainable mailer, it depends on the waste infrastructure where your customers live. A 100% post-consumer recycled poly mailer is typically the lowest-carbon option and carries the strongest recycled-content claim in the category, backed by GRS transaction certificates. Certified home compostable mailers suit markets with weak soft-plastics collection, and FSC paper mailers are kerbside recyclable. We model all three with carbon and end-of-life data so you choose on evidence, not instinct.
Can I get mailers with 100% recycled content?
Yes, our poly mailers are available in 100% post-consumer recycled LDPE film, verified with GRS transaction certificates issued against your actual orders. Because mailers carry no food-safety requirement, eCommerce can run the highest recycled content in flexible packaging without compromising transit performance: our mailers run a 60µm baseline thickness built for the courier network.
What's the difference between poly mailers and paper mailers?
Poly mailers are lighter, lower-carbon and cheaper per unit, including under weight-based EPR fee schemes, and are recyclable through soft-plastics collection. Paper mailers are FSC-certified, kerbside recyclable, rigid and water-resistant, with a premium tactile finish. Poly protects better against moisture; paper offers the easiest end-of-life story for customers. Many brands run both, matched to product type and market.
What are your minimum order quantities for mailers?
Custom-printed poly mailer MOQs start at 100,000 units, and paper mailers at 6,000 units. At volume, consolidated production runs cut FOB costs by 20–30%, and our warehousing programme holds your stock onshore so you draw down and pay as you ship — no more lumpy packaging cash flow.
Are your mailers recyclable or compostable, and what happens at end of life?
Both options exist, and they're different products: recycled poly mailers are recyclable via soft-plastics collection; certified home compostable mailers break down in a home compost; FSC paper mailers go in kerbside recycling.
What are lead times, and can I get samples before I order?
Typical lead times are 6–10 weeks from artwork approval, depending on format and volume. We recommend sampling for any new format or material combination before you commit — contact us to arrange.
