Lyka are a leader in sustainable, nutritious pet food in the Australian market. They came to Grounded looking to replace their existing, non-recyclable thermo-forming film with something that was recyclable and also made from plants, not fossil fuel. The solution needed to be high-barrier, puncture-resistant and work on their existing production lines and packing equipment, without compromising speed or strength.
Printed top web of between 80-100um for a range of 20 SKUs. Bottom web reels of 250-400um. Material needed to be recyclable, made from plants and able to run on existing thermo-forming machinery at both manufacturing sites,
